What You Need for This Course

As you work through this course, you may be wondering what resources, software, and tools you'll need to put my technique into play. So here is a list of what you need, what I recommend, and what is optional. I cover each one of these in more depth when we get to the appropriate step, so you don't need to take any action yet.

What You Need (And I Assume You Have) For This Course:

  • A self-hosted WordPress* blog and admin privileges to it
  • A way to create PDFs (there are free ways, like Canva and Google Docs)

* It's also possible to do this with SquareSpace or any other website or blog. If you want to use the library delivery method, you just need to be able to create a password-protected page (but keep in mind there are other delivery methods, too!)

What I Recommend:

  • A ConvertKit account* (You could use another mail marketing platform if it does the same things as ConvertKit, but I will not be able to teach you how to use it for this technique unless I happen to be familiar with it in that platform.)
  • If you can't afford ConvertKit, then I recommend MailerLite, which is free for up to your first 1000 subscribers. FloDesk is another option with a 30 day trial. If you have MailChimp, you'll want to strongly consider moving to ConvertKit, MailerLite, or FloDesk in order to fully implement the LIST LOVE formula. Drip and ActiveCampaign are also options, though I am much less familiar with them.

What is Optional

  • The Adobe suite (for more advanced file creation -- I use this because I am more familiar with it than other software)

What is Not Needed

  • The Essential Grid plugin

What I Do NOT Recommend

  • Thrive Leads -- students in our course have reported that opt-in forms made with Thrive Leads DO NOT WORK RELIABLY on Pinterest Mobile.
